🚨 IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR ARCADIA HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS & FAMILIES 🚨

Arcadia High School wants our students, parents, and community to be aware of an important change to Louisiana law regarding ma*****na on or near school campuses, effective August 1, 2026.

Under the new law, ma*****na possession in a school zone can carry serious criminal consequences, including:

⚠️ Up to 1 year in prison, with or without hard labor
⚠️ A fine of up to $1,000, in addition to imprisonment
⚠️ The law applies on school property, within 2,000 feet of school property, and on school buses
⚠️ THC v**e pens count under the law
⚠️ School disciplinary consequences are separate from criminal penalties

Students and families are strongly encouraged to review the attached notice from the State of Louisiana for complete information about the law and its potential consequences.

At Arcadia High School, the safety and well-being of our students remain a priority. Please talk with your child about making responsible choices and keeping our campus safe, healthy, and drug-free.
