I started on a competitive cheer team when I was in 6th grade and was eventually on two teams at the same time. In high school, I was on the track team (my event was the pole vault), swim team, cheer team, cross country and took weightlifting every semester. I basically was always busy with some sort of sport. I hated cross country and swim, loved the rest lol. I graduated HS in 2008 and had my so
n, Hudson in 2009 while I was going to college. After having Hudson, I lost a lot of weight. Pre-baby, I was about 120 pounds, and post-pregnancy I was about 105-110 pounds. I wasn't eating, I wasn't getting any sleep, and I wasn't working out. I was working 40 hours a week as a server, taking a full course load in college and taking care of my newborn... SO, lol, I was losing a LOT of weight and lost it fast. I lost all my baby weight and then some by the time Hudson was 4-6 months old. It wasn't until Hudson was about 3 years old that I got a gym membership, but all I ever did was cardio and a few leg exercises. And I basically had no muscle at this point. Then in 2014 (Hudson is 5 now), I was inspired by a friend I went to high school with that was doing bodybuilding shows in the bikini category. She doesn't even know it, but she is the reason I wound up walking through the LA Fitness doors in 2014. I had decided I wanted to hire a personal trainer to get me in shape for a bikini competition... this is when I met Ryan, and hired him as my coach! I've been lifting regularly since 2014 but didn't truly get my nutrition in check until 2016-2017. I started competing in 2017, then had another son in 2018, and another son in 2020. All while competing in between. Now I coach lifestyle, prenatal/postnatal and contest prep clients full time!
