GOOD NEWS CHEROKEE COUNTY !!!!

We are opening our program up to any 6th-12th grade kids in the county.

Our season typically starts in December. But, please reach out to us now if you are interested. Send us a private message and we will answer any questions you have.

Looking forward to seeing some new faces!

Yesterday wasn’t just about scores—it was about grit, growth, and character.

This team has faced challenges not only at D9 regionals yesterday but, throughout the season.. they are incredible young people whom have pushed past their comfort zones, they leaned on each other, rose above, and kept pushing forward. Not everyone chooses to stay when things get tough or dont go your way—but this group did and they brought home some excellent wins to show for their hard work!

Our middle school team had a great Day with some individual best scores of the season and finished 4th in Archery. They are all first year shooters and have come along so far this year, we couldn't be more proud of them and their hard work this season! Great job to - Addie Nix, Carleigh & Kylie Smith, Kaylee Smith, Gus Prate, Aaron Queen, Kinslie James! Keep working hard!

Congratulations to Kinslie James and her first place finish in Rifle! She also took 5th Place in Archery and will compete at the State finals to try and snag the title from her Big sister Carlie James who is the defending state Champion! Go Kinslie!!!!

Our high school Black team also had a great Day! Derrick Rowland, Kimsey Creasman, Ford Ashe, Bella Luther, Briggs Luther and Mason Lovingood worked so hard and all had some of their best tournament scores to date! They all left with smiling faces and were proud of what they had accomplished Individually and for their team!

Our high school Green Team-
Blane Gibson, Troy Gibson, Conner Sentz, Carlie James, Autumn Fowler, Sara Fowler, Cody Riegel and Braden Gaither had an excellent day on the range and walked away with some outstanding awards.

They earned 3rd in Shotgun & Archery , 4th in rifle and hunters skills and it was enough to put them in 2nd place Overall for the day advancing them to the State Tournament in April.

Blane Gibson finished 2nd in Archery, only misisng 1st by 1 point and he also finished 5th Place Overall for the day!

Carlie James finsihed the day with 3rd place in Rifle just shy of 1st Place!

Braden Gaither and Briggs Luther also shot a perfect score in Shotgun advancing them to the shootoffs! Great job, fellas!!!!

More importantly, they earned the Sportsmanship Award, something we value more than anything.
We’ll keep chasing excellence—but we’ll never sacrifice character to get there.

Huge congratulations to all of our Andrews Shooting Teams youth, you make us so very proud!!!

We had a great day and beautiful weather Saturday for our Farwest Shootout Tournamet.

We hosted 13 teams from all over WNC. Some of the very best marksmen in the state and probably the southeast. The kids are incredible.

Our Middle School team is very young but are resilient and improving every week. They have so much to look forward to. They finished 4th place in archery, shotgun, and rifle!

Our High School team had a stellar day. They won archery with a very impressive score. They also won rifle and finished 4th in shotgun. That combined score was enough to secure overall first place team!

Blane Gibson and Kaleb Smith shot perfect scores in archery, earing them 1st and 2nd place individually. Blane and teammate, Cody Riegel, also shot perfect scores to earn them a place in the shootoff.

We are looking forward to our District Tournament in 2 weeks in Polk County, NC.

Thank you all for your support and if you see these kids out, please congratulate them on their accomplishments. Their hard work is unmatched.

It was an absolutely beautiful day at our Farwest Shootoff... These kids deeply care about one another. We are looking forward to our District 9 tournament in two weeks.

Such a great day on the range Saturday at our First Scrimmage of the season! Thanks to all of our Haywood County fellow D9 teams for hosting yet another awesome event!

We had athletes step up, try new things, and support each other every step of the way. We brought home some awards and had a safe, successful event—couldn’t be more proud of this group. 🎯

🏅 Individual Highlights:
• Kaleb Smith – perfect score of 200 in Shotgun and shootoff winner out of 27 shooters
• Braden Gaither – perfect score in Shotgun, advancing to the shootoff
• Briggs Luther – perfect score in Shotgun, advancing to the shootoff
• Finished in Top 10 Overall (out of 173 High School shooters): Kaleb Smith, Conner Sentz, and Blane Gibson

🏆 Team Results:
High School Team:
• 3rd place in Archery (just 1 point shy of 2nd!)
• 2nd place in Rifle
• 4th place in Shotgun
• 3rd place Overall

Middle School Team:
• 4th place in Archery, Rifle, and Shotgun
• 4th place Overall

Proud of every single one of these athletes and the way they continue to grow, step up, and support each other. Excited to keep building! Growth days aren’t always pretty, but they matter just as much. Proud of this team and where we’re headed. 🎯🔥
