Find The Edge Shooting Sports We offer private/group instruction, clinics, and events. Home of the original Duck Hunt Challenge.

DUCK HUNT CHALLENGE RULES:

a) Teams:
a team consists of 2 shooters
shooters may join multiple teams. Each team requires a new entry fee
shooters must complete each round before joining another team
a round consist of shooting all available stations

b) Stations:
each duck blind is considered a station
each station consists of (24) random birds on report

c) Shooting:
all shooting must be p

erformed while sitting in a duck blind
each shooter is only allowed (12) shells per station
shooters are only allowed (1) shell in the gun at a time (No Exceptions)
shooters must only use the 12 shells from the station shell holder
a dropped shell may be retrieved but not replaced from bag
birds will be shown only once at the beginning of the challenge (with no shooters in the blind)
broken clays are called as "no-birds", DO NOT SHOOT THEM (They are scored as a lost bird if you shoot them)
shooters ARE permitted to shoot their partner's birds if needed
gun and/or shooter malfunctions are scored as a lost bird
if a shooter does not see a legal bird, it is scored as a lost bird

d) Scoring:
each team must shoot all stations for a final score
scores are a combined total number of broken birds for both shooters
ties will be settled by a single station shoot-off (selected by the event manager)

e) Disputes: will be KINDLY resolved or shooters will be disqualified

To all, the Briggs family (Find the Edge Shooting Sports, Duck Hunt Challenge) will no longer be supporting the Baytown Shriners lodge with an annual clay shoot.
The Briggs created this game as a fun way for us to raise money for those in need.
For 7 years our family has hosted this shoot, but now we wish to move on to a more transparent cause, where we can see the fruits of our labor. Keep an eye out for our next shoot supporting another worthy cause. Thanks for all your support!
