Our 22 day countdown has reached its end – Happy International Dance Day! 🎉 We want to sincerely thank you for supporting our $22 for Tutus campaign, whether that was through a donation, engaging with our social media content, or sharing Amherst Ballet with your network.
International Dance Day marks the anniversary of Jean-Georges Noverre’s birthday, who is often referred to as “the creator of modern ballet.” To align with this sentiment in our own way, we have one final Amherst Ballet image to share as part of our campaign. For over 50 years, Amherst Ballet has led with conviction of the value of dance in our society and commitment to providing quality dance education to our community. That all began with our founder, Therese Brady Donohue, shown in image 1 with her daughter. And, you may recognize image 2 as the kick-off photo from the campaign, featuring one of our advanced dancers with our current director Mikayla Archambeau’s daughter.
The resemblance is no coincidence! While much has changed over the years for Amherst Ballet, our core belief that dance is a gift to be shared, remains true. We thank you – our dancers, our families, our alumni, our supporters – for continuing to help us share this gift. 💝
But wait! It’s not too late to give to $22 for Tutus if you haven’t yet. We are just 7 donors away from reaching 22 unique donors – can you help us make it before the campaign closes at midnight?! Link to donate: https://www.paypal.com/ncp/payment/B7HQVP78R36FL
