Ames High Fall cheerleaders cheer for home 9th & JV games as well as home/away varsity football games

Ames High Fall Cheer is made up of approximately forty cheerleaders, one head coach (Dana Logan), and two assistant coaches (Munia Awadalla & Lauren Stadtmueller). Our cheerleaders are divided into one Junior Varsity squad, one Varsity squad, and a competition team. The cheerleaders cheer for home 9th & JV games as well as home/away varsity football games. We also host an annual youth cheer clinic at the high school and participate in various statewide cheer squads such as All-State and Honor Squad. The fall cheerleaders are highly talented, hard working, and full of school spirit!

Today 6 Ames High cheerleaders participated in the ICCA All-State cheerleading tryouts hosted at Roland-Story High School! 140 cheerleaders from across the state tried out! Tryouts consisted of a cheer, a dance, jumps, and tumbling! So proud of these girls for representing Ames at such a prestigious event!!!

The Ames Varsity and JV cheer squads volunteered at ACSD’s annual back-to-school event: Blast Back to School!! They helped distribute backpacks full of school supplies to hundreds of families! ✏️ Hope everyone is feeling ready for school to start!
