Had the privilege of attending the Women’s Empowerment event held at Grand Living where Amanda Hoffpauir & Carter Rangel had the opportunity to speak about how jiujitsu has helped them.

Carter discussed key points about being aware of your surroundings, and how training jiujitsu has helped him in his work and personal life. He teaches our self defense class: Street Proof Jiu Jitsu class every Saturday at 9AM! (FREE)

Amanda talked about different events in her life where being aware of her surroundings and listening to her gut actively saved her from a dangerous situation, and how training jiujitsu has given her the power to protect herself. She teaches our women’s class every Tuesday at 6PM.

The event was full of amazing speakers, and great insight on how women can help protect themselves.
