The spring season just wrapped up a few weeks ago, but we are already looking ahead to another exciting fall baseball season.

To sign up for fall baseball, connect with your local organization.

PYL made some changes for the fall season to better align age cutoffs with grade levels.

This realignment encourages more competition and development for our players by ensuring they are competing against other athletes in their peer group. Of course, playing up to a higher age level is encouraged for our players seeking an addition challenge.

This change aligns with Little League and USSSA softball - 2 of the largest governing bodies in sports.

Announcing - PYL Umpire of the Year

We are absolutely thrilled to announce Frank Rivera as this year’s PYL Umpire of the Year! Holding a stellar 4.23 out of 5 average rating across his evaluations, Frank has truly been the gold standard for our officiating crew.

Coaches routinely praise his accuracy, fairness, and deep professionalism. But Frank’s impact goes far deeper than just the rulebook. Even while facing some personal health scares this season, his commitment to our league never wavered. He continued to show up for the kids game after game, putting his heart into the game and serving as an incredible role model of resilience, grit, and selflessness.

Whether he was taking extra time to patiently teach our brand-new pitchers the ropes, or stepping up to call a high-stakes pitcher's duel entirely on his own during our mid-season umpire shortages, Frank brought 100% dedication to every single inning. He is the kind of umpire who lifts the energy of the entire field just by stepping onto it. One coach perfectly summed up the league's sentiment, writing that Frank is a class act who “should be the standard all other umpires are judged against in the PYL.”

Frank, thank you for your unwavering dedication, your tough spirit, and everything you do for our players and community. Congratulations!

🏆 Spring Season Tournaments Final Update: Celebrating Our Silver & Bronze Bracket Winners! 🏆

Better late than never! We want to give a massive shoutout to the incredible teams who took home the hardware in our Silver and Bronze brackets this Spring season.

These brackets are designed for teams that finish toward the middle or bottom of the regular-season standings but show what baseball is truly about: grit, determination, and continuous improvement. Every single one of these teams peaked right when it mattered most!

Here are your champions:

Biddy AL Silver
For the first time ever—thanks to a record-breaking 13 teams in the division this year—we introduced the Biddy AL Silver bracket.

Champions: Emmaus Hornets
Talk about taking the scenic route! The Hornets fought their way all the way back through the loser’s bracket, defeating a fantastic Schnecksville team twice in a row to claim the title.

Biddy NL Silver & Bronze
With a massive field of 26 total teams combined across the North and South divisions, we expanded the postseason to include both Silver and Bronze brackets to keep the tournament competitive and fun for everyone.

Silver Champions: South Parkland Phillies (Who edged out Lower Mac Gray in an absolute nail-biter, 6-4!)

Bronze Champions: Schnecksville Knights (Who dug deep to overcome a tough Emmaus Stingers squad!)

Midget NL Silver
A packed 15-team division meant another highly competitive Silver bracket, and these players absolutely delivered.

Champions: South Parkland Lightning (Who earned a hard-fought victory over the Emmaus Hornets to capture the bracket!)

Thank you to all the players, coaches, and families who put in the work and kept improving every single week. We are so proud of the resilience shown across these divisions.

The votes are in, the dust has settled, and the sunflower seeds have been swept off the dugout floor. We are thrilled to announce this season’s Sportsmanship Award Winners – as chosen by the other teams in their division, which basically makes this the baseball version of being voted “Least likely to start drama.”

👏Thanks to the players, coaches and parents for consistently showing great sportsmanship with respect, integrity, and character.

Keep being awesome, keep being kind, and keep making baseball fun – even when the ball takes a weird hop and hits someone in the shin.
