Definitely a light night but for those 23 that showed up, appreciate you greatly!
Last night's double elimination tournament had tons of good match ups!
1st- ACL Pro Lucas Householder & Lucia Mancini throwing new Reynolds Pro-x
2nd- Jon Liberati & Jimmy O brought it in with 724 Blacklists (best damn bags)
3rd- Bobby Brown & Sam Varo throwing some more Reynolds
As discussed, to bring the money up in the airmail pot, we will do (from now on) 1st throw is 2 bags for those who buy in. If no one hits 1 of those bags, the money goes to the pot. If someone does throw a bag in on the 1st set, they move to the side to throw 1 single bag. Miss and your out. Make it, you are in the finals to compete to throw 4 bags for 25% each bag of the pot. Last man standing format. We use to throw for $150 to $200 last year and I want to get back to this!
Double elimination cut has been set to 28 players for a split. At 28, we will do a 50/50 split.
Currently, we've been running PPR seeding which has worked in everyone's favor.
The buy in price was raised to $15 from $10 this past week. This is not to w**d anyone out. This is to get larger pay outs, 1821 Co****le to be able to put some small money aside for club needs (Scoreholio, tablets, boards, mats, score towers, new equipment). This is not a "DOOR FEE". This money goes back to the basics and purely equipment. If something breaks, and we all know Jeffrey Scranton is great at dropping tablets, this is replace that. Love ya Scrant lol.
Another thing that I'd like to put out there is for the VFW club itself. You are already there for co****le every Wednesday so becoming a member of the club is beneficial for both you and the post. "How's it beneficial to me?" Alot of folks don't even realize that the post has 3 books where you can win money. A daily, the $2000 Wednesday book and a weekly Saturday book. Yes, you must be a member to play. It is $20 a year. Looking to rent the hall for an event? Deep discounts apply for the members as well! I'd also like to say congratulations to Nathan Conley and his wife on having their baby! Clubs here if you need anything brother, just no s**tty diapers!
