HELP NEEDED!

Concessions Managers.

As our fall season gets underway, we again wanted to ask for your help. While we ask every parent to work a few hours in the concession stand each season, what we really need is a handful of dedicated folks able to give us a bit more. Concessions managers play an important role in keeping things organized and operations running smoothly. They work directly with the concessions director and help train other volunteers to work the various duties.

Training will be provided. While there is no pay for this role, as a thank you to all who volunteer, HYBA will provide a code good for free registration on a future league fee. I.e. fall volunteers can sign their kids up in the spring for free!

As a reminder, HYBA is a 100% volunteer-run, non-profit. Like many of the youth sports organizations, we do this for the love of our kids and our community, but it's only possible when we have the support of our members. If you're not able to commit to this position, but feel like you would like to assist the organization elsewhere, please reach out to the board. We will find a job that makes use of your skills!

⚾️ Hopewell’s Second Swing – Additional Donation Location Drop-Off Begins Monday! ⚾️

In addition to our pop-up donation drop-offs at our baseball fields, we’re incredibly grateful to Jim at Sadler’s Lawn Service and Landscape Supply for graciously opening his facility to help us grow Hopewell’s Second Swing program! Jim has been a longtime supporter and staple sponsor of our league, and he continues to go above and beyond to support the kids in our community and help make their baseball experience the best it can be. We truly appreciate his generosity and willingness to support this program!

Starting Monday, September 7th, community members can drop off gently used youth baseball equipment they’d like to donate at Sadler’s Lawn Services.

📍 Drop-Off Location: Sadler’s Lawn Service and Landscape Supply - 3219 Kane Road in Aliquippa
🗓️ Beginning Monday, September 7th
⏰ Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM–3:00 PM

Please be sure to complete our donation form when dropping off items so we can keep an accurate inventory of what’s available and help connect equipment with Hopewell families who need it.

Hi families!!

We recently started Hopewell’s Second Swing, a community give-back program connecting Hopewell families with gently used baseball gear!

If you have a player who could use some gear, please feel free to share this with their family. We may have gloves, bats, helmets, cleats, pants, catcher’s gear, and more in a variety of sizes. Our inventory is growing each week, so even if we don’t have what they need right now, we’re hoping to continue collecting to help as many players as possible!

Families can reach out to Christina at [email protected] and cc: [email protected] with the item(s) and size they’re looking for, and we’ll check our inventory!

Thanks for helping us spread the word, keeping the game going for our Hopewell kids!

One more big THANK YOU to all of the businesses (large and small) that helped make our golf outing a success, not to mention their support throughout the years.

Pay attention to the folks supporting youth sports and other local programs. These are the companies providing the vital funding we need to continue supporting our community. Please thank these businesses with your words, and whenever you have the opportunity, your wallets!

TONIGHT - 5:30 - 7:30 @ Kane Road Concession Stand.

We are still looking for additional donations for this weekend's golf outing! This is the year's biggest fundraiser, and money earned from the outing helps keep registration costs low for families by covering much of our equipment, field maintenance, insurance, and uniform needs.

PLEASE help if you're able by bringing by any of the items in the list below! We are especially looking for additional raffle baskets.

Also, it's your last chance to turn in "yellow tickets" from the regular season, and if you have some old gear to clear out for our Second Swing program, we can accept that tonight too.

Dear Hopewell Baseball Families,

We're only 5 DAYS away from our biggest fundraiser of the year.

This year's event will be on Saturday, August 29, 2026 at Shadow Lakes Golf Course. Registration tables open at 7:30 am; Golfing starts at 8:30 am.

Weather is currently looking gorgeous for Saturday.

That said, we still need a few more foursomes to meet our course minimum! We have to turn in our foursomes to the course in advance, so registration will close at 5:00 PM TOMORROW, TUESDAY AUGUST 25.

If you don't have a full foursome yet, you can either register as individuals at $110 each and request to be placed in the same foursome, or you can register as a full foursome using "TBD" for the name of your missing golfers while you round out your group.

Finally, we are very much in need of raffle basket and liquor bottle donations!

Heather Kennedy will be at the Kane Road fields concession stand Thursday evening from 5:30 - 7:30 pm to make it easy to drop-off of raffle baskets, liquor bottles, and any other in-kind donations (individually-wrapped snacks for our golfers, swag bag items), b**r cans, pop, Gatorade, water donations, etc.

Please consider making a raffle basket, or even donating items or donate through Venmo and we will make a basket for you!

If Thursday evening doesn't work for you to drop off, just "Reply" to this email and we'll arrange a pickup time.
