Dear adults, teens, and tiny mat monsters… Mother Nature chose violence today. 🥵 It’s expected to feel like 110°–115°!

Before you come train:
💧 Chug some water (not just one sip on the way here 😂).
🍎 Eat something before class.
🚰 Bring a FULL water bottle—we’re not sharing sweat or water today.

🥋 Today’s Dress Code: NO-GI ONLY!
Leave the heavy pajamas (Gi) at home unless you’re trying to make your own personal sauna.

Today’s goals:
✅ Stay hydrated.
✅ Survive.
✅ Train hard.
✅ Go home looking like you jumped in a swimming pool.

What an awesome day! Five different gyms .bjj
🥋🔥 total of 10 black belts on the mats today along with brown, purple, blue, white belts, and a whole army of little warriors rocking every color of kids’ belts. The room was packed with great rolls, good vibes, and people just helping each other get better.

Thank y’all so much for coming out—it honestly means a lot to us. This is what the BJJ community is all about. ❤️

Huge congratulations to Thomas and Kate on earning their blue belts today! 💙 Well deserved, and we’re proud of both of you.

Today we celebrate the fathers, stepfathers, grandfathers, father figures, and mentors who stand as protectors, leaders, and examples for the next generation.

The men who teach courage when things get hard, discipline when it’s easier to quit, and strength that goes far beyond the mats. The ones who show up day after day, carrying the weight no one sees while continuing to lead their families forward.

From our Controlled Chaos BJJ family to yours, Happy Father’s Day. Thank you for the sacrifices, the lessons, the guidance, and the unwavering support you give both on and off the mats.

Another huge milestone for the Controlled Chaos Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu family. ❤️🥋

We are beyond proud of Bubba Gonzalez who will be graduating from Alice High School this FRIDAY AND who earned his welding degree at the same time this year !

This is what hard work, discipline, sacrifice, and consistency look like. The same mindset it takes to survive hard rounds on the mats is the same mindset it takes to push through long nights, early mornings, stress, pressure, and still come out on top.

Brandon has grown not only as an athlete, but as a young man with a future that’s already being built by his own two hands. Watching our kids chase goals outside of jiu-jitsu means just as much to us as medals and victories.

From the mats to the real world — we’re proud of you, Brandon. Your gym family has watched you grow, and this is only the beginning. Keep chasing greatness and never lose that work ethic that got you here.
