North Platte Lodge is Wyoming fly fishing at its best. Grey Reef and Miracle Mile fly fishing guides - Our Grey Reef and Miracle Mile guides are knowledgeable, professional and well seasoned. Private access - Our 17 miles of exclusive private Grey Reef access is unequaled. Enjoy the privilege of wade fishing and dropping anchor on the most productive, consistent and desirable water in the North Platte River system. Grey Reef Lodging and accommodations - The North Platte Lodge and The Reef Fly Shop are the only private properties on Grey Reef Road and the only outfitters to have immediate access to Grey Reef. When conditions become questionable other outfitters call us for a conditions report. Our locations allow a 2 minute drive to the most desirable boat ramp on Grey Reef. The North Platte Lodge is a hosted experience with only 6 guest rooms. Each room has 2 queen beds and a private bath. Common areas include a dining room, 2 living spaces, a nook with excellent views over Grey Reef and a large deck to enjoy the same uninterrupted views. Meals are spectacular and you enjoy plenty of food. Most of our guests fly into Casper, Wyoming and let us take care of the transportation to and from the airport. The Reef Fly Shop, Cottages & RV - We also operate THE fly shop at Grey Reef. Commonly referred to as "The Reef" this is no ordinary fly shop. A boutique shop we are not, inside we feature custom flies designed for success on the Grey Reef and Miracle Mile sections of the North Platte River, top quality fly fishing gear, drift boat rentals, river shuttles, spectacular vacation cottages and RV sites. Not to mention Grey Reef Outfitters that provides a guided fly fishing experience whose included amenities go unmatched. The Reef Fly Shop is also the home of the popular BuffTrout Wyoming Fly Fishing apparel.

The 2026 Grey Reef season has started with better fishing than we've seen in years. Our high-volume spring is always a little hard to fathom until you experience it. This spring is a little different and our lower snowpack is benefiting the program significantly. 100 miles of clear, productive trout water stabilizes the fish and has them eating in every way imaginable.

We've had fun dry fly sessions with midges and blue-winged olives, the streamer bite has been abnormally good, and fishing subsurface, with emerger rigs, stellar. Anglers who love to wade should get a trip to Grey Reef on their immediate schedule.

The North Platte Lodge calendar is pretty tight this season, but we do have some dates to fill. May 12-15 for up to 6 guests during the heart of our spring beatis hatch. Mother's Day weekend, May 8-10, we have a unique full lodge option that'll provide exclusive use of the lodge for 6 anglers each in their own private guest room and fishing double.

Pros or aspiring pros wanted:
Fly shop and guide staff. High school and college talent welcome. If you have a work ethic and like to operate at a high level, we're the operation for you. Industry experience is great, but not necessary.

Shuttle drivers: this is a relaxed gig, moving vehicles and trailers from one boat ramp to the next. It is ideal for a retired couple who want to make some extra cash and see some cool country.
Good driving record required.
