‼️Myrtle Beach Open #6 Team Result‼️
A huge congratulations to our 6 players that traveled down to Myrtle Beach, SC to compete Friday night in the Minor League Teams event against 24 other Minor League Teams!
The squad that we sent down to play started out in rounders going 3-1, only losing a close match by a single throw.
The Bracket is single elimination, putting up the Albany Ringers' 3 Doubles teams against another Minor League Team's 3 Doubles teams in a best of 3 match up.
We ended up getting a tough Worcester Woodchucks team in the first round but our players were ready and swept them 3-0.
Our next match up was against the Memphis Kernels and we ended up winning 2-1.
The Palm Beach Freeze were next and our team stepped up to 3-0 them, making them have two out of the five total 3-0 wins in the entire 25 team bracket! No other team had more than one!
The Semi-finals was next and we faced the Suwanee Sliders where we had a huge comeback victory by Nate and Cody to pull out the 2-1 victory!
That win punched our ticket to the Finals against the Dallas Bully Baggers. We ended up coming up short of a win, losing 1-2 but it was a long and hard fought day by our team and we couldn't be happier with a 2nd Place finish for our first Minor League event of the season!
We are proud of all of players down in Myrtle Beach and wish them luck for the rest of the weekend!
We know that our squad is hungry for a 1st Place finish and will comeback stronger at our next Minor League Team event in a couple of weeks at the Hamilton, Ohio Open #7!
