Happy New Year! Well, here we are again getting all worked up in anticipation for the upcoming Spring Striper run on the Hudson River. We’re thankful to once again be keeping the Hudson boat at the beautiful Albany Yacht Club facilities on Broadway in 2026. Looking back at 2025 it was one of the more challenging seasons I can remember in 30+ years of fishing the upper Hudson. April & early May were plagued with flooding and difficult conditions, just as the big fish showed up we were washed out for a week… then just as everyone was ready to call it a season there was a huge second push of fish the last week of May that lasted well into June. Here’s 80 of the more memorable fish of last spring (the most I can load in a post). We’re currently taking reservations from past clients for the next couple weeks, and will open the books to new customers February 13. This year we’re happy to be offering packages with Hudson River, Lake Ontario, and Salmon River driftboat trips, ask for details.
