And that’s a wrap for our 2026 Track & Field Season!

As we depart from Emporia, Ks. we are so grateful and honored to have had the opportunity to represent Albany State University on the highest level of collegiate athletics and showcase our talents nationally. While we did not leave the way we planned, we are so proud of the work that was put in and there is so much more to look forward to going into the 2027 season.

This season was full of personal bests, podium finishes, and broken records.

Cadence Cray completed the 100m/200m sweep of winning the SIAC Championship 2yrs in a row! Also, competing in both at Nationals.

Chavondria Crimes signed her name in the record books by breaking the school record in the women’s 100m and competing at Nationals!

Adoni Nembhard-Belcher had an outstanding season completing the 200/400m sweep at the conference championship and competing in the 400m at Nationals.

The Men & Women 4x100m relay teams continued their dominance by capturing SIAC Titles and competing at the nationals.

All in all…what a season right?! Thanks to everyone who supported us this year. Until next year….Golden Rams checking out ✌🏾 next stop….504 College Dr. in Albany, Ga.!

ALBANY — Albany State University will send several athletes to the 2026 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field Championships after a strong outdoor season by both the Golden Rams’ men’s and women’s programs.

Chavondria Crimes made history at the Lee University Last Chance Meet on last weekend, sprinting to a NEW SCHOOL RECORD in the Women’s 100 Meters with a time of ⚡️11.50⚡️placing her in the top 20 on the NCAA DII Championship Qualifying List.

Another statement performance. Another standard raised. Another record set.

Cadence owned the track last weekend at the Alice Coachman running a NEW SCHOOL RECORD ⚡️11.56⚡️ in the Women’s 100m, Taking down a 9yr old record.
