🏊‍♀️ MEET THE BOARD: HOPE BRUDVIG 🏊‍♀️

If you’ve ever been at an ASC meet, you’ve probably heard Hope Brudvig cheering from the stands! 😂 A wife, mom of two, volunteer and enthusiastic swim mom, Hope is always on the go, and a good portion of that time is spent at a pool cheering on Greyson, Evelyn and their ASC teammates.

Hope and her family joined Aberdeen Swim Club in 2021 after she discovered that Aberdeen even had a swim team. What started as “just another activity” quickly became something the entire family loves. ❤️

Hope joined the ASC Board because she wanted to be more involved, help behind the scenes and play a part in helping the club continue to grow.

What does she love most about ASC? The people! The friendships really do become family, and Hope loves how everyone cheers for every swimmer, whether they're chasing a qualifying time, earning a time cut or simply having a great swim.

🏊‍♀️ Her big dream for ASC? A pool of our own! A place our swimmers could truly call home would be an incredible addition to both ASC and the Aberdeen community.

🏆 Favorite ASC tradition? Our home meet and especially the family relay! Hope says it’s always entertaining.

And if Hope could swim one event? Easy choice: the 50 free. Why? “Because it’s the shortest one!” Give her one length and get her out of that pool! 😂

We’re so thankful for Hope’s enthusiasm, energy and commitment to ASC! 💙

🏊‍♀️✨ Congratulations, Gena Jorgenson! ✨🏊‍♀️

The Aberdeen Swim Club is incredibly proud of ASC alum Gena Jorgenson and all she has accomplished throughout her incredible collegiate swimming career!

It has been so much fun for our Stingray families and athletes to follow Gena’s journey over the years. From watching her compete at the highest levels to seeing all the hard work, dedication and passion she has put into her sport, Gena has been an incredible inspiration to so many of our young swimmers.

Gena, we are so proud of you and excited to see where life takes you next! We’ll be cheering you on as you begin this next chapter and make the exciting decision of whether professional swimming may be part of your future.

Once a Stingray, always a Stingray! 💙

🏊‍♀️ MEET THE BOARD: MEGAN ROSENDAHL 🏊‍♀️

If you’ve spent much time around Aberdeen Swim Club, there’s a good chance you’ve seen Megan Rosendahl on the pool deck! But her connection to ASC goes back much further than her current role as a board member.

Megan was a Stingray herself for 10 years and is now in her 20th year with the club. Over the past eight years, she has served ASC as Secretary, Vice President and President. She’s also a certified USA Swimming official, so these days you may find her behind the blocks and on the deck keeping meets running smoothly!

Megan works as Creative Manager at Agtegra Cooperative and enjoys books, crafts, Legos, photography, hockey and of course, cheering on her daughter, Scout.

❤️ What does she love most about ASC? The friendships, the families, the meets and the fact that swimmers from ages 5 to 19 all come together as one team. And she’s especially proud of ASC’s reputation for great hospitality and concessions!

🏆 One of her favorite memories? Watching Scout become a state champion in the 50 breaststroke and remembering her own relay team reaching the top of the podium years ago. And yes, Megan still remembers how good it felt to beat Sioux Falls! 😉

🏊‍♀️ Her dream for ASC? A facility of our own for practices and meets.

And finally, if Megan could choose any event to swim today, she’d admire the courage of the 200 fly and 400 IM swimmers… but she's wondering if the 25 backstroke is an option! 😂

We’re so grateful for Megan’s years of dedication to the Aberdeen Swim Club and the generations of swimmers she continues to support. 💙
