Recent global fleet statistics show that while technical and hardware findings are steadily improving, human factors now account for roughly 37% of all negative vetting observations.
Recently inspectors are very keen to learn what the shipping companies are doing in terms of Behavioral Based Assessment of their crew members and what are the actions taken to improve the competencies.

At Maritime Trainer, we believe the best way to address this is through systemic support and proactive preparation. That is why we developed the (Behavioural & Operational Competency Assessment and Verification) module.

Through this module 6 core behavioural domains from and 72 rank specific technical competencies from , is evaluated to help assessors to provide a constructive feedback to their team members. This module can automatically identify the lacking skills of the crew members and suggest necessary courses. The assessor and assignees can make their own comments and these data is recorded on a dashboard where the admins can create trendlines and benchmarks over the assessments made.
