Almaz Smaiylkulov secured Kyrgyzstan's first and Asia's second gold medal at an IWWF World Cable Wakeboard & Wakeskate Championships, taking 1st place in the Men's Over 30 wakeboard category. The Championships were held from 8-15 August 2026 at the iconic Shunyi Olympic Cable Park, bringing together over 170 of the world's best cable wakeboard and wakeskate athletes from 30 countries. Congratulations, Almaz, on this outstanding achievement and for inspiring riders across Asia!

That's a wrap! Huge congratulations to all our Asian riders who competed and represented their countries in this year's 2026 IWWF World Cable Wakeboard & Wakeskate Championships in Beijing, China👏🏻

Special mention to Raph Trinidad who received his award for 2025 Rider of the Year alongside current World Champion, Julia Rick 🙌🏻

Shoutout also to Team Thailand🇹🇭 for being awarded Third Place in the Team Overall 🥳

And great job to the blahblah of Asia, and Veteran Men bronze medalist Carlo Dela Torre together with Victor Salmon, honorary Thai rider, for making the commentary extra spicy to watch 😉

Asian riders have brought home some hardware from the 2026 IWWF World Wakeboard Championships held in Rieti, Italy. Chinese Taipei's Yang Cheng-Ya won a bronze in the Under 14 Girls category and Korea's Shin Hyun Jeong won a silver medal in the Open Women's category. Congratulations!

One week on from the IWWF World Over 35 Waterski Championships at Predator Bay, Calgary, Canada, we celebrate Team Japan’s outstanding achievements!

🥈 Saaya Hirosawa captured silver medals in the Women’s Over 35 Tricks and Jump events.

🥈 Toshiyuki Sumita secured silver medals in the Men’s Over 65 Tricks and Jump events.
Congratulations to both athletes and Team Japan on these fantastic performances on the world stage! 🇯🇵👏
