CLOSING OUT THE REGULAR SEASON! 🚨

Thursday night lights and another Skåne Derby! Tomorrow evening, we are heading right back down to Trelleborg for our final regular-season match.

Because of a rescheduled game from earlier this year, we are facing off against Pingvin for the second time in under a week! The boys are ready to put in the work and finish this phase of the season on a high note before the playoffs begin. 💥

Our men's team did the job in the derby this Saturday with a 52-00 victory over LUGI.

Coach’ game report:
"Another clear win, despite a resilient LUGI side that showed exactly why they are second in the league.
Our play was a little too stressful at times, and we lacked the clinical finishing needed to turn our pressure into points. Credit also goes to a strong LUGI defence. Despite dominating possession and territory for large parts of the first half, we went into half-time with a 14–0 lead.

After a good half-time talk, we tightened things up and played some really good rugby in the third quarter. The result was a much more controlled and effective performance, with the pressure finally being converted into points.

One of the highlights was seeing all 15 players contribute to the scoreboard. Once again, we were also able to give our talented juniors the opportunity to step up, and they showed that they are more than ready to compete at this level.

A solid team performance, combined with some occasionally brilliant back play, made us coaches very happy. We are proud of the group and the way they continue to develop together.

And once again, credit to the referees for a great effort. I have praised the standard of refereeing in Swedish rugby before, and I’m happy to say it again: the level of refereeing in Swedish rugby is really good."

I helgen åkte vi upp till Uppsala för att spela Shield Maidens. Våra F14 och F18 tjejer kämpade tappert hela helgen och visade på superfint spel! Vårt F16 lag lyckades gå hela vägen och efter vinster mot Väst och Mälardalen kunde vi vända ett underläge i finalen mot Nederländerna och ta hem guldet med matchens sista spark! I vår värld är Dutch Girls legendariska och därför smakar just denna segern så otroligt sött.

Tusen tack till alla som arrangerade Shield Maidens ännu ett år, alla grymma lag och domare, alla fina foton, alla underbara minnen och till våra systerklubbar i skåne som förstärker oss! Tack till MRC och till MRCs Vänner som hjälper oss att resa norrut och alla fans som hejar på! Nu firar vi och sedan fortsätter äventyren!
