This summer, a lot of you didn't wait for a fourth.

You just showed up, found the open spot, and played anyway. In August alone, that turned into 1,619 public matches, the busiest month we've ever seen for people meeting on court for the first time.
That's the best part of this sport. You don't need your usual three friends free at the same time. You need a court, a time, and someone else who wants to play too.

Here's to more strangers becoming regular opponents 🎉🎾

This week the office was devoted to workshops. The teams spent three days working through how the future will look, how things will be handled, and, foremost, figuring out how sports software can evolve, grow stronger, and become more engaging. Some workshops in a more traditional sense, some in hackathon style. All in all, with a focus on creating better products.

We closed it out the way you're supposed to: some drinks, some pizza, no agenda.

Kick off the season with a thriving community!

Player communities have been live in the app for little over a month. A social space where you can find and communicate with likeminded players.

If you haven't checked out the feature yet, now's the time. It's a good way to find new players, keep up with your level, and see what's happening at your venue, all in one feed.

Your venue decides which communities exist. Invited to one? Jump in. Missing one you'd love to see? Ask them to create it 🤝

Best-of-3? Around 90 minutes. Best-of-5? Closer to 2 hours 45.
The fastest pro match ever clocked in at just 20 minutes. The longest? An almost unbelievable 11 hours and 5 minutes.

Next time your match runs long, just remember: it could always be longer.
