Rugby Northeast The first Division II collegiate rugby conference in the USA. For example, Providence competes in Hockey East with Merrimack & UMass Lowell, both NE-10 schools.

Rugby Northeast formed in 2011 after USA Rugby announced that college rugby would be transitioning out of the Union structure (NERFU) and into a conference-based system that more closely resembles traditional inter-collegiate sports. This decision came a year after High School teams made a similar move into a state-based interscholastic model. Rugby Northeast is comprised primarily of schools from

the NCAA's Northeast-10 Conference along with a few others that have similar demographics and a connection with 1 or more schools in the NE-10.

Our D1 All Stars made their debut last weekend at ’s College Women’s All-Star Cup tournament! Talent from across 4 D1 programs came together to make their mark, finishing 7th in the tournament under the leadership of captains Alex Peterson of and Anna Griffiths of . A big thank you to Northeastern’s Maggie Reiss who was lead coach of the side and program.

RNE D3 CONFERENCE CHAMPIONS…ROGER WILLIAMS UNIVERSITY!! Another strong year from the hawks, they were able to come out on top of their conference!

The hawks will head to National Playoffs in Canton Massachusetts this weekend to face off against Fairfield, hoping to continue moving up from the sweet 16 to the elite 8!!! Best of luck ladies!
