Massive congratulations to our 2026 Wellington Open Champions, Maiden-Lee Coe and Evan Williams.
It was a special moment for both players, with Maiden-Lee claiming her first Wellington Open title and Evan securing an incredible 11th title.
After finishing runner-up last year, Maiden-Lee came back this year with purpose. Her performance was clinical, composed and full of intent. It was clear she had a game plan, and she executed it beautifully. The final against runner-up Liberty Jones delivered some incredible rallies, with both players showing real skill, determination and class on court. Their hard work across this season was clear to see. It was a real treat for the crowd.
The men’s final between Evan Williams and James Thompson was packed with incredible shots, impressive retrievals and rallies.
But it was clear, Evan was on a mission. He put on a dominant display, taking the match in straight sets and further extending his record as the Wellington Open’s most successful title holder.
A huge congratulations to Maiden-Lee and Evan on two outstanding performances and two very well-deserved titles.
