Sponsors Day is back at Murphy Field on Saturday, 20 June.

We’re excited to host and celebrate our 2026 sponsors, and as a small thank you for your ongoing support, food and beverages will be provided on the day.

It’s set to be a massive day of rugby, with our Men returning home for a huge clash against Pirongia, while our Women continue to build momentum and push toward finals contention.

The countdown to Saturday is on 👊

Our Men’s B side kick off at 1:00pm, followed by our Men’s A side at 2:45pm under the maunga. Two big matchups and plenty to bring home on home turf.

Our Women’s side have a well-deserved bye after a strong start to the season, sitting top of the table after four rounds.

They’ll also take part in an 12:15am friendly “Old Girls” vs “New Girls” match to honour CJ 🖤

Our Women’s take on Hinuera in the final game of the round.
Our men’s kick off the second round at home.

A huge thank you to all our 2026 sponsors for your continued support, we wouldn’t be the club we are today if you didn’t back us each year! We’d love to see you down at the club for a great day of footy and some chilled beverages on us 🍻🏉

Progress is underway on Murphy Lane! The diggers are in and work has started on our new changing facilities. Pretty special seeing it all kick off.

Big day for our club and community as we officially broke ground on our new changing facilities 🏉🖤💛

This project has been four years in the planning and wouldn’t have happened without the support of many people.

A huge acknowledgement to the Lotteries Community Facilities Fund, our Sponsors, Club Members and supporters for bringing the vision to life.

The day started with karakia as we prepared our whenua and people for the change and in the afternoon we held a ceremony and broke the ground.

Thank you for the help and guidance from the Taupiri Marae, Waikato District Council and all our community stakeholders.

Thanks also to the Waikato Rugby Union and Sport Waikato for support and being part of our special day.

More than just a building, this is an investment in our community, our future, and the strength of our whanaungatanga.

Exciting times ahead for Taupiri Rugby.
