Sunriver Figaro 3/4 gypsy cob has gone to his new home, we wish his new owner the very best with him. Figaro is such a gentle boy and I think he will love his new home. Thank you Tracey Matthews for giving him a great home. I’ll definitely miss seeing him in our paddocks 💝🦄
Sunriver Figaro is out of Monteith Ridge Saxon Rose and by Swanhaven Boots’N All, he looks to be a little bigger than his parents and has inherited their lovely calm natures.
I look forward to seeing his progress.

I’m so super proud of these two ladies and their Sunriver ponies.
Joanne Hardy & Lynda Fouhy purchased their ponies from me a few years ago now and have been working at breaking them into harness. I’ve been loving watching their journey and progress and offering help where I can. They both came to me with the same goal as they were looking for driving ponies. Lynda from Hawkes Bay has been around horses for most of her life and has driving experience she has trained Bonny (Sunriver All Ebony a 3/4 mini gypsy x 1/4 welsh A ) (Black) herself for driving and also has broken her in for riding. They have a lovely bond. Currently Bonny is being driven by Lynda and driven and ridden by Brooklyn. Bonny is almost 8 years old and was my first foal by Boots (Swanhaven Boots’N All) my heart horse.
Joanne from the lower north island has also had much experience around horses Donkeys & mules, she has also had experience Driving. Joanne came to me wanting a future driving pony that wasn’t too big but wasn’t too small either and needed to have a kind nature. She looked over the ponies I had available at the time and decided on Kiri ( Sunriver Cassidy a 3/4 mini gypsy x 1/4 Welsh A)(Bay Tobiano). I’ve loved following their progress and seeing their bond grow stronger and stronger and have been happy to offer help when needed.
Joanne and Lynda thank you for giving your ponies such wonderful homes and sharing your journeys with me with updates on your progress. I feel that our love for horses and driving have created really nice friendships. The photos with this post were taken by Hannah Le Prou and Meg Becker.
The event that the photos are from is the Makotuku Scurry this event is so much fun and really great for people and ponies getting into driving as it’s not a competition and full of lovely people to help get you started or help at any level. There are a few held each year.

Almost 1 month since the big chop and these boys are getting along so well and pretty much all healed up. The little one still has his wheels 💝. The 3 bigger ones will be 👀 for 🏘️.

I’m so pleased these boys are living together happy now. Iv not had this many c**ts all at one time before. We had 3 of them gelded a couple of days ago and I’m truly amazed at how quickly we’ve seen results. Poor Elliot was having to live by himself after Duke left and he wasn’t happy about it but was too rough on the yearlings to live with them. We made the call to remove their wheels so they could all enjoy each other’s company in peace. We experimented and let them together when they came around after surgery, thinking that felling a little doppy may take the fight out of them and they may have a common interest to settle down…. that lasted about 5 minutes and they had to be separated. They spent the night with a good fence inbetween them and in the morning they seemed a little more comfortable around each other so we let them in together, there was a lot of running but no biting or fighting ( vet said that was great to remove any clots that could have formed 🤦‍♀️ and saved me the job of getting them all moving 😏). So far we have peace and the random burst of running around, all surgery sites are looking great. And yesterday afternoon they were all sleeping together… happy dance moment that’s for sure when we went out to check them. 🥰🦄🦄🦄🦄

Last foal for this season a gorgeous c**t named Sunriver Guss, my sister gave him his name and is doing an amazing job looking after the mares and now 2 babies. I’m so so grateful for her help and support with everything that’s going on in both our lives at the moment. This year has sent us both some enormous challenges to work through and I know I’ll be very grateful when we can say that’s all behind us now. This little fella is definitely something positive amongst all the resent challenges.
We still haven’t moved fully yet as the moving process is taking longer than we thought it would, hopefully it will all fall into place soon.
