One of the things we're most proud of at Mahia Golf Club is watching our amazing rangatahi grow.
Last year we brought together a group of tamariki to learn the game of golf, have fun, build confidence, and enjoy the incredible course we have right here in our own backyard. Our Mahia Golf Club has been proudly serving our community for 51 years, and it's exciting to see the next generation embracing the game.
A huge mihi to our wonderful coaches, Dave Waihaki and Susie Adam, who have generously given their time, patience, and knowledge to help shape and guide the future of our young golfers. Your dedication is making a real difference.
The progress our rangatahi have made has been amazing. They started by learning the basics, and now they're confidently hitting down the 1st and 5th fairways, practising their chipping and putting on the 5th green, and even playing full holes. Seeing their confidence, smiles, and love for the game grow each week is incredibly rewarding.
Our youngest golfer is just 6 years old, with our oldest being 12, proving you're never too young to pick up a golf club and give it a go.
We're so proud of every one of our rangatahi. Keep having fun, supporting one another, and enjoying this beautiful game. The future of Mahia Golf Club is looking very bright!
