MESSAGE FROM CLIVE PHILLIPS
I hope you are all well.

As you know over the last couple of years I have been working with Silvereye Films to produce a feature length documentary about my Tour de MMN 2025 ride. The finished film is called “No One Rides Alone”.
It follows me and a team of fellow military veterans as we rode the tour. It also features the truly inspiring British paralympic champion Ben Watson and Italian Para-triathlete Ilaria Brugnoli, who joined us during the ride. There is even a little Tasman Wheelers racing in the film from early last year.

The film premiered in Belgium on Rare Disease Day (28 Feb) and was then screened in venues across the UK. Audience reaction has been incredibly positive. It’s is genuinely a fantastic film.

We are now bringing the film to NZ starting with a screening and Q and A at the Suter Gallery on Friday 26 June. The Q and A will include Matt Jenke the film maker and members of the Tour de MMN team including me.

Attached is a poster for the film and more information and a short trailer is at https://makingthemostofnow.co.nz/no-one-rides-alone/

I wondered if it might be possible for you to share this information with the Wheelers membership? I am sure the film will appeal to them.
Cheers
Clive

Has anyone ended up with an extra Winter Wheelers long sleeve top size XL after the Age Group Road Race Nationals? One went missing from the race HQ at the Moutere Hills Community Centre last weekend.

AGE GROUP ROAD NATIONALS THANK YOU FROM TASMAN WHEELERS

Kia ora koutou

What a fantastic weekend of racing and cycling camaraderie. My congratulations and thanks to every one of you who raced or supported the event and made it the great success that it was.

Thank you to the Committee for a great team effort and tireless behind-the-scenes work in ensuring the event went so well. A very special thank you to Symon, who put in many hours liaising and working with Dynamo Events, the Committee, and others, to ensure the event was so well organised and executed.

David, a fantastic effort too, organising the marshals and drivers, ensuring all roles were filled and everyone was where they were meant to be and when. To all of our marshals and drivers, thank you, especially those who stood in the wet yesterday.

And Dynamo Events, thank you for bringing this event back to our region. We have thoroughly enjoyed meeting and working with the team.

Tasman Wheelers had numerous podium successes over the weekend and you can see the full results here:
Time Trial: https://my.raceresult.com/392448/results
Road Race: https://my.raceresult.com/368778/results

Whether you got on the podium or just finished your race, an awesome effort from each and every one of you.

Finally, thank you to all our competitors and supporters who traveled from all parts of the country, and from Australia, to enjoy a few days of cycling and all that our region has to offer. We appreciate your support and for the many positive acknowledgements we have received.

A great event!
The Age Group National Championships are done and dusted. Thanks to everyone who helped make the weekend it was. Pity the weather was so atrocious on the final day today.
And it was a successful event for the club with 5 Golds, 4 Silvers and 8 Bronze medals to show for it. Special accolades go to Zoe Bonny and Hans Baer who both came away with 2 Golds each.
Wayne Pool managed to take a few photos on the Saturday.
