🌧️ JUNIOR FOOTBALL CANCELLED 🌧️

Due to the significant rainfall over the past few days and overnight, all junior fixtures scheduled for Saturday 6 June have been cancelled (Excluding Wairarapa).

We understand this will be disappointing for players, coaches, and whānau, however protecting our fields is essential to ensure they remain playable for the rest of the season. We have been closely monitoring conditions and, unfortunately, the grounds have not had sufficient time to dry out.

Thank you for your understanding and support. Stay safe, and we’ll see you back on the field soon.

Hope your short week went well, but now it's time for some football!!

Hutt Park will see game time all weekend, here's hoping the rain doesn't turn it into a bog.
Saturday is also old timer day! 👴 So don't forget your Zimmer frames and walking canes and come on down to support, and perhaps enjoy some whiskey or two! 💛❤

Its also getting to the nitty gritty midway of the season so a few extra games during the week to make up postponements, we know they're late but all the support is encouraged.

Here are the rest of the Player of the Days names because we are exceptional but I received but ran out of shirts:

And here's some match reports on how the juniors went:

⚫️Under 9⚫️
This week was a chance to work as a team between festivals. Was great to see the kids putting what we practiced into our internal and a friendly match practice session.
Player of the day 🟡U9 Gold🟡 was Sid Gupta for getting stuck in to his first session with the squad and working hard on all aspects during the day.
Played of the day 🔴U9 Red🔴 was Kurt Luis Alfato for putting in to practice what we had been working on and finding space with his passes.

🔴U10🔴
They played with plenty of spirit and enthusiasm. POTD was Lucy van der Gulik, who made some brave tackles and blocks in both games.

💛U11 Gold💛
The kids worked hard all game, our POTD was Charlie Eastall, who displayed great skills, using strong positional play to make some great passes and scored a goal!
Wainuiomata selected Kiyaan Rajguru as our POTD, after he had a solid second half on attack and manage to score.

❤U11 Girls Only Red❤
Great passing, positional play and above all else, teamwork. POTD was Libby Harty for incredible ball control, hold up play and passing. Well done girls!

🖤U11 Girls Only Black🖤
POTD was Kayla Jacobson for her attacking play and putting pressure on the other team.

🔴U12 Red🔴
After a difficult opening Arthur was the fox in the box and put us ahead and we made hay going in. Really happy with attitude - many instances of our players showing commitment and resilience. Player of the day was Roger Jin who from goal led defensive effort and clean sheet.

💛U12 Gold💛
It was a tough game against Upper Hutt Condors who were well organized and committed. POTD was Senula Don who worked hard and played beautifully with a huge smile the whole time.

This weekend looked like a good one for most of the teams! ❤💛
Double POTM for the Mens first who remain in the cup 🏆, with a score of 3-1 against Tawa. Capital football site says 4-1 so perhaps scored one overnight?

ITS A LONG WEEKEND and Another Cup Weekend! 🏆.. and not just for the firsts, the thirds are in a new cup just for the 3rd and 4th Capital Leagues
Saturday sees plenty of action at Home 🏠 if you don't feel like venturing to Tawa, where the Firsts take on Tawa AFC - Senior Football

Sunday also has Home action (note; the Women are trying to post pone), with only the U14 away at Karori for a cross over friendly.
