We have your Horowhenua Kapiti Heartland team to take on Ngati Porou East Coast for round 5 of the Hilux Heartland Championship!

A few milestones to note - Congratulations to David Johnson, Shaun Gardiner and Ben Harris who will all make their debut, and an even bigger congratulations to Thomas Barnsley who will run out for his 25th game, earning his HK blazer. 🏉 WEEKEND WRAP UP 🏉

What an awesome weekend down at the Levin Domain! A big thank you to everyone who came down to support our U18's and Heartland squad as they both took on their Whanganui counter-parts.

The U18's curtain raised, kicking off their campaign with an array of talent, and a never die attitude, which ironically, filtered in to our main event. The Butcher Boys started with a hiss and a roar but our lads were in for the fight. A huge defensive effort saw our guys get the home win, securing the Bruce Steel Cup for the first time in almost 10 years!

We were also lucky enough to play host to the Super Rugby Trophy, as shown by one of our biggest supporters, Dion "Diesel" Brunning. Thanks to the crew over at the Hurricanes for allowing us to share this opportunity with our community.

The last game of the weekend saw our Māori side take on a strong Wellington Fijians squad down in Petone, ultimately going down 64 - 17. UPTHENUA 🔴⚪🔵

The lads are back at the Levin Domain this weekend for Round 4 of the Hilux Heartland Championship, taking on Whanganui with the Bruce Steel Cup up for grabs. Congratulations to Kafaongo Katoa, who'll be putting on the red, white and blue for the first time.

There’s plenty happening off field as well, with the Super Rugby trophy making an appearance at the Domain thanks to the Hurricanes. Come along, get behind the Nua and take the chance to grab a snap with the trophy while you’re there!

1:00pm kick-off, bring the noise and get behind the lads. Saturday afternoon plans sorted with Heartland footy and a side of Super Rugby trophy....how good!

Unfortunately, the lads couldn't get one over the bush, going down 31 - 46, but there were a few positives to come out of the match. Congratulations to PJ & Genesis (not pictured) who both made their debuts on Saturday, donning the red, white and blue for the first time.
