✨ Meet Maree ✨

Director, sales and marketing manager, meeting organiser… there’s not much Maree doesn’t do at Playground Creations!

With 25 years of experience in sales and marketing, Maree brings a passion for people, collaboration and, of course, the magic of play.

She loves working with children and communities to turn their playground visions into reality, creating spaces where creativity, confidence and connection can flourish.

Her favourite playground feature? The spaghetti weave!

And if she wasn’t creating playgrounds, you might just find her making music. 🎶

Big adventures start with a little imagination!

Designed by LA4 Landscapes for Auckland Council, Jutland Park Reserve is a wonderful place for tamariki to play, explore and let their imaginations run wild.

Playground Creations was proud to supply and install several features, including our custom, New Zealand-built tractor, double-bay laminated swings, a little tractor by Playdale and a carousel by Vinci Play.

From tractor adventures to swinging high and spinning around, there’s plenty of fun to be had!

IT'S PLAY WEEK! | 19–25 OCTOBER 2026 🛝☀️

Play Week is a great reminder to get outdoors, explore, have fun and enjoy quality time together.

We're lucky to have so many amazing playgrounds across Aotearoa, giving tamariki and whānau places to make memories together.

At Playground Creations, we're proud to play a part in creating these special spaces for our communities.

So, grab the whānau, head to your favourite local playground and let the adventures begin this long labour weekend!

Let's celebrate the magic of play!

Bounce and play

Our BounceClouds are a fantastic way to bring movement and excitement to playgrounds, school grounds, and public spaces. Available in a range of colours, they add to the fun of any play space - and we know they attract tamariki of ALL ages - young and old!

New project completed!

15/10/2026

When our team met with Albert Street Explorers ECE in Hastings, the brief was to create a playground where little explorers could grow.

So we got to work, creating spaces were tamariki could flourish.

For the under 2s, that meant providing a safe and engaging space with a sheltered sandpit, toddler swing, tiny play structure, water trough, sensory panels and musical play. For the over 2s, there was a play mound, mud kitchen, water play, sensory panels, musical equipment and a small fixed playground structure.

And the vege patch was a place for all to enjoy!

When we’re designing a school playground, we don’t just talk to the adults. We talk to tamariki too, because we know the best playground ideas come from the people who use them.

And when we were designing and constructing Waihi Central School's playground earlier this year, it was a pleasure to have the tamariki visit our workshop to understand how their playground ideas were coming to life.

They do say many hands make light work after all!

The design for our latest playground development in south Hamilton was written in the stars - literally.

Inspired by the Matariki cluster and the legends of Māui and the Sun, Aurora Gateway Reserve in Hamilton's Peacocke development is part of the neighbourhood’s wider vision for connected, green and family-focused living.

Check out the bird's eye view our team took of this exciting new play space, complete with slides, swings, rockers, and a flying fox!
