Tomorrow, Wednesday 17 June is Gloria's last day with us, Gloria has been with us for nearly 5 years and will be sadly missed. Join us in wishing her all the very best.
At the hum of doors and echo of splash,
Gloria greets with a welcoming flash—
A smile like sunlight on chlorine-blue streams,
Keeper of timetables and sporting dreams.
Children rush past with goggles askew,
Swimmers glide lanes in disciplined queues,
From courts in the stadium roaring with play,
To ice where skaters carve bright silver spray.
“Lessons at four,” she says with a cheer,
“Lost towel? No worries—we’ll find it right here,”
Her voice like a guide through the bustle and noise,
Turning small troubles to simple joys.
She stands at the heart of this lively domain,
Of laughter, of whistles, of sun and of rain—
From warm poolside air to the rink’s frosty hue,
Gloria keeps every moment running true.
