A tough afternoon for our MLT Allied Security Albion Senior A's last weekend saw Tokonui take the points 20-10, while our Harcourts Gore Albion Senior C's produced a strong performance to defeat Balfour 36-17.

This Saturday, there's silverware on the line once again as Albion and Pioneer battle for the Pascoe Gardner Cup at the Gore Showgrounds. Our MLT Allied Security Albion Senior A's will be looking to defend home turf and claim the cup in what promises to be a fierce contest, kicking off at 3.00pm.

Earlier in the day, the Harcourts Gore Albion Senior C's hit the road to Bluff, with kick-off at 1.30pm as they look to continue their winning form.

Get along to the Showgrounds, wear your Albion colours, and get behind the boys as they chase another piece of silverware. Up the Albion!

Borlase Cup rugby returns to the Gore Showgrounds this Saturday as the MLT Allied Security Albion Senior A's host Tokanui.
The first meeting between the two sides was a tough contest that wasn't decided until the second half, and with the Borlase Cup on the line, another physical battle is expected. After a challenging few weeks, Albion is pleased to have a full squad available and ready to defend home turf.
The Harcourts Gore Albion Senior C's kick the day off against Balfour at 1.30pm, before the Senior A's take the field at 3.00pm.

🖤❤️💛 Another Milestone at home this weekend. 50 Senior A Games – Jack Cochrane

From his first season in the Albion Under 18s to becoming a mainstay of the Senior A pack, Jack Cochrane has been all about commitment, grit, and loyalty to the red and black.

Since stepping into senior rugby, Jack has never looked back, pulling on the Albion Senior A jersey every season and earning a reputation as one of the club's toughest and most reliable lock forwards. Week after week he's done the hard yards, thrown himself into the tough stuff, and put his body on the line for his teammates.

This weekend against Tokonui Jack reaches a fantastic milestone – 50 Senior A games for Albion. It's a testament to his dedication, resilience, and passion for the club.

Congratulations Jack on your 50th Senior A appearance. A milestone thoroughly earned by one of Albion's true workhorses. Here's to plenty more games, lineout takes, big carries, and hard-hitting performances in the Albion colours! 🔴⚫🏉💪👏

250 Games for Albion – Richard Robinson ❤️💛🖤🏉
This weekend, Albion Rugby Club celebrates a special milestone as Richard Robinson takes the field for his 250th game in Albion colours.
Richard's rugby journey began with Albion schoolboy rugby in 1984. After time at St Peter's, a season with Albion Under 21s, and a year at Tapanui, he returned home to Albion in 2001, representing both the B Side and Senior teams. Following five seasons at Woodlands, he returned to Albion in 2016 and has been a valued part of the club ever since.
Reaching 250 games is a testament to Richard's loyalty, dedication, and passion for the club. It reflects decades of commitment, friendships, and service to the Albion jersey.
Congratulations Richard on an incredible achievement. A true Albion man and a fantastic servant of the club.
250 games. One club. Albion through and through.

A big Saturday ahead for Albion Rugby with both our senior sides on the road.

The MLT Allied Security Albion Senior A's head to Mataura for a 3.00pm kick-off against Edendale. After showing plenty of fight throughout the season, the boys will be looking to put together a strong 80-minute performance against one of the competition heavyweights.Coming off a hard loss to Riverton, Albion will be aiming to take the game to Edendale from the opening whistle and look to build momentum heading into the business end of the season.

Earlier in the day at 2pm , the Harcourts Gore Albion Senior C's travel to Waikaka to take on Waikaka in what promises to be another tough Presidents Grade clash. The C's have been enjoying a solid campaign and will be looking to continue their good form with another committed team effort. As always, plenty of pride is on the line and the boys will be keen to bring home the points.

If you're looking for some rugby this weekend, get along and support the Albion lads as they represent the red, gold and black.
