👑 We are proud to officially welcome Chris Hobbs, best known to many New Zealanders as Dr Frank Malone from Shortland Street, to the Kings Academy coaching team.

Also recognised from productions including Blue Murder Motel, Chris is a certified New Zealand and USA Boxing Coach and Personal Trainer, specialising in a high level, aggressive Mexican inspired boxing style. He spent 17 years at the legendary Wild Card Boxing Club in Los Angeles as part of Roger “Speedy” Gonzalez’s team.

His international experience, technical knowledge and passion for teaching allow him to help complete beginners and experienced athletes improve their balance, footwork, power, fitness, confidence and overall boxing ability.

Join Chris’s boxing classes every Monday and Thursday from 6:00–7:00 pm at Kings Academy and experience what it means to learn and train with one of the best! 🥊🔥

Thank you to the amazing trainers and fighters who showed up with skill, courage and determination, united by one goal: to grow our sport and take it to the next level.
