At E.S.Z.V Oktopus you can play handball on different levels and everyone is welcome! We have one women's team and two men's teams playing competition. Luuk a.k.a. DJ Luuk is our Okkie of the Month this time! Read below👇🐙

1. Who are you?
I’m Luuk and i study Applied Physics at TU/e. This is my first year at Oktopus and its been a lot of fun so far!

2. For how long have you been playing handball?
I’ve been playing handbal for about 5 years now. Before I came to Oktopus I also played a couple of years for Zephyr and Dynamico.

3. What is your favourite postion in the field?
Well, before i got to Oktopus i played pretty much only on the wing, but now i enjoy playing on the pivot also

4. What has been your most memorable moment in Oktopus?
There have been a lot, but i think the beertje tournament has been most memorable

5. DJ Luuk, if you would be a song, which song would you be?
Hahah thats a good question. Maybe something like Don’t Stop the Party by pitbull, but i think Tequila by The Champs could also be a strong contender

Our April Okkie of the Month is Alexandra🔥🤾‍♀️ Read below to get to know her👇

1. Who are you?
Well only some people know the legend of my whole name ‘Alexandra’ but most people call me Alex, ali or aal.
2. ⁠For how long have you been playing handball?🤾‍♀️
I joined handball when I was 16 then played for 2 years, stopped for a year, played a year, coronatimes, and then joined oktopus for 4 years now I think.
3. ⁠What is your favourite postion in the field?
Probably pivot
4. ⁠What has been your most memorable moment in Oktopus? 🐙
The tournaments we join in general, and if I would have to pick one you could probably already guess that cabezota is my favourite. I will never forget the whole vibe of the music, sun, drinks (read: blaadjes) in the vesting bar. The guy on the roof playing r***r and my song ‘boots with the fur’, baked eggs in the morning, beachhandball andd ofcourse all the best oktopus people to vibe with!
5. ⁠Can you tell us a funfact? 👀
Ofcourse! I have so many it is hard to pick. Did you know Australia had a war with emu’s? AND they lost! Because it turned out they only had 2 bullets per emu. Long live the emu
