Backs Netball Club

Backs Netball Club We work together as one, and have each others backs no matter what. In its first year, the team won the second division league and were promoted.

The Silverbacks team was established first in 2013, where it debuted in the second division league. In the first year in the first division, the Silverbacks also managed to gain 1st place in the league. It was a great accomplishment for the team. From then on, the Silverbacks have continued to obtain great results every consecutive year. Due to the significant growth, a new team was introduced in

2016 under the name of Blackbacks. Silverbacks have won the league again in season 2017/18, finishing in 1st place and also winning the first knockout Netball league ever played in Malta. Season 2018/19 was also a great success for the club, Blackbacks have won the -second division and have been promoted to first division. Blackbacks also placed runner’s up in the knock-out tournament, another big achievement. Silverbacks this season have once again won the first division championship unbeaten and have won the knock-out tournament once more.

A proud moment for Backs Netball Club 🤍🖤

We are incredibly proud to announce that 6 of our players have been selected to represent Malta in Leeds between the 7th and 9th May 🇲🇹

To have more than half of the selected squad coming from our club is a huge honour and a reflection of the hard work, resilience, and commitment shown throughout the season.

We are also especially proud to see both the Team Captain and one of the Vice Captains coming from Backs Netball Club, alongside our very own coach taking on the role of Assistant Coach within the national team setup, a true testament to the leadership, dedication, and character within this club.

Congratulations to all involved! Your Backs family is behind you every step of the way. Go make Malta proud! 💪✨

Unbeaten on court, but the real journey was everything we carried with us along the way.
Behind every game were personal battles, sacrifices, and moments where showing up wasn’t easy, yet we stayed resilient and chose each other, every single time. 🫶

This team is more than netball. It’s trust, strength, and a bond that goes beyond the court. ❤️

We are endlessly grateful for every player who gave their heart, and for every supporter who stood by us through it all. 🙏
