Mosta Cycling Club

Mosta Cycling Club Founded in 1953, Mosta Cycling Club is Malta’s oldest and most successful cycling club.

Over the years, the club has received numerous accolades and tributes as a result of its participation and podium finishes in local races including the Malta National Cycling Championships and Tour of Malta. The club’s is very proud to have as President Mr John Magri who was awarded the much coveted Malta Olympic Hall of Fame certificate. This is a reward which is given to those who have worked hard towards the sport they are involved in and is a rare achievement for anyone to obtain. Cycling Academy:

The club’s driving force is powered by the desire to educate and promote the development of young athletes socially, physically and psychologically while keeping bad habits at bay. Our philosophy fosters sport as a way of life while encouraging our younger generation to move away from the sedentary life that is all too common nowadays, and shift towards a healthier active life. Our commitment to promote a healthy lifestyle among the younger generation led our club to set up the first cycling nursery on the island. Since 2008, subscription has been on the increase and the Mosta Cycling Club nursery has today acquired a positive widespread reputation thanks to the commitment exhibited by its qualified coaches, organisers and supporting members.

Our Mosta Cycling Club Cycling Academy 2026/27 is getting ready to roll! 🎉

Starting Saturday 10th October, we're welcoming young riders for another season of cycling, learning, developing and — most importantly — having fun on two wheels! ❤️

Whether your child is discovering cycling for the first time or already loves being on a bike, our Academy is designed to help them:

🔹 Build confidence and cycling skills
🔹 Develop fitness and good sporting habits
🔹 Learn about safety and teamwork
🔹 Make new friends
🔹 Discover the joy of cycling

With certified coaches, a friendly environment and sessions adapted to each rider's ability and stage of development, there's a place for every young cyclist.

An unforgettable day for our High Performance Academy riders! 🚴💛❤️💙

Our young riders had the privilege of watching their mentor, Aidan Buttigieg , and the newly crowned National Road Race Champion, Andrea MIFSUD 🇲🇹 🇫🇷 , battle it out in an exciting championship race. More importantly, they witnessed true sportsmanship, respect, and friendship—values that define our sport and inspire the next generation.

The experience became even more special as they met Ivan Basso , two-time Giro d'Italia winner. Both took the time to encourage and inspire our youngsters, giving them memories—and motivation—that will last a lifetime.

At Mosta Cycling Club, we believe that cycling is about much more than riding a bike—it's about building character, embracing respect, learning from role models, and inspiring dreams.

Cycling is only part of the journey. 🚴❤️

At Mosta Cycling Club, we believe that developing young people goes far beyond sport. It's about building friendships, nurturing curiosity, creating unforgettable memories, and learning from the world around us.

Yesterday, 19 of our young cyclists and coaches enjoyed an incredible visit to MaritimeMT and the Malta Maritime Pilots, where they discovered the fascinating world of the sea and the maritime industry. They explored a professional research and ship-handling simulator, learned about life at sea, and topped off the day with an unforgettable tour of the Grand Harbour aboard a real pilot boat!

A huge thank you to the fantastic team at MaritimeMT Malta especially Capt. Marco Portelli for their warm welcome, enthusiasm, and for giving our young members such a unique and inspiring experience.

Because at Mosta Cycling Club, we're not just building better cyclists ... we're helping build confident, curious, and well-rounded young people.

🇲🇹 Another day to be proud of for Mosta Cycling Club! 💙❤️

Three of our riders finished inside the Top 10 at the Malta National Championships Elite Men's ITT – a result we're incredibly proud of.

👏 7th – Andrew Caruana
👏 8th – Robert Grech
👏 9th – Etienne Cutajar

Their dedication, consistency and hard work continue to pay off, and it was fantastic to see three Mosta jerseys competing amongst Malta's very best.

A special shout-out also goes to Aidan Buttigieg for another excellent ride. As the coach of our High Performance Academy, Aidan continues to lead by example and inspire the next generation of cyclists.

Congratulations also to the winner Andrea MIFSUD 🇲🇹 🇫🇷 on another great performance. It's always encouraging to see Maltese riders competing at such a high level and continuing to make Malta proud both locally and internationally.

Well done to everyone who took to the start line and to all those who make days like these possible.
