Barcelona Football Academy - Colombo

The Barcelona Football Academy was established in 2016 and operates at the Racecourse Stadium, Colombo 07 Guided by the Asian football Confederation (AFC) & Football Federation of Sri Lanka (FFSL). All young players under our care benefit from our development program, top-notch trainings and matches aligned with the guidelines set by the AFC & FFSL for grassroots football in Sri Lanka. Our vision

is to nurture outstanding football players who will lead the next generation of Sri Lankan football. Our primary goal is to become a premier developmental resource for football in Sri Lanka. The Barcelona Football Academy caters to various age groups, spanning from under-6s up to the flagship under-18s participating in the All Island Football Tournament, organized by the FFSL, Sri Lanka School’s Football Association and International Clubs. To realize our goals, we offer comprehensive football education and coaching camps. Our programs integrate professional football training, academic learning, and exposure. FFSL-trained professional football coaches work with our squads on holistic development, including fitness, stamina, technical skills, and tactical understanding. To ensure practical application, we regularly organize friendly matches against youth teams, semi-pro clubs, local college teams and international academies. Additionally, our academy schedule incorporates various programs to fulfill FFSL's requirements for youth football development. The Barcelona Academy currently operates in two areas, Kelaniya and Badulla, with plans to expand to Colombo, Kattankudy, and other key districts. Correct Attitudes: Emphasizing the importance of a positive mindset and dedication both on and off the pitch.
