(KALD) is a social welfare association that collaboratively works towards helping all individuals, especially students in private schools in Kuwait, who have learning difficulties and/or Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder through setting up awareness programs, training courses, and other educational activities. Kald that was established in 2007 by Mrs. Amaal Al Sayyer (Chairwoman) with the h
elp of a number of volunteers is funded by Masharaee Al Khair and Kuwait Projects Company (Holding). Its Board of Trusties includes specialists, educators and parents who believe in KALD’s cause. Members of kald have chosen “learning differences” instead of “learning difficulties” because they believe that the targeted students are intelligent people and the only difference between them and other students is that they have their own way of learning.
الجمعية الكويتية لاختلافات التعلم (كالد) هي جمعية نفع عام تعمل من اجل مساعدة الاشخاص ذو صعوبات التعلم و/او اضطراب تشتت الانتباه وفرط النشاط وخاصة الطلبة في المدارس الخاصة في الكويت من خلال برامج توعية تشمل موقعها الكتروني ودورات تدريبية وانشطة متنوعة.
تأسست كالد في 2007 بجهود السيدة أمال الساير(رئيس الجمعية الكويتية لاختلافات التعلم) وبدعم مالي من مؤسسة مبرة مشاريع الخير وشركة مشاريع الكويت القابضة, وتشكلت من فريق عمل ومجلس امناء من المتطوعين بعضهم من المتخصصين في مجال صعوبات التعلم وبعضهم من اولياء الامور والمدرسين المهتمين في هذا المجال.
ولقد اختار مجلس امناء كالد عبارة "اختلافات التعلم" في تسميتها بدل "صعوبات التعلم" لإيمانهم بان الاشخاص المعنيون هم اشخاص اذكياء وقادرين ليسم على التعلم فقط بل على التفوق ايضا بالرغم من وجود صعوبات تعلم لديهم ولكنهم يختلفون عن غيرهم في طريقة التعلم.
