It’s incredible to watch Ryan determination and focus as he prepares for the RDA National Championships, alongside his commitments in football and swimming. His drive across all three sports shows exactly what it means to be a multi‑discipline athlete, consistent effort, resilience and a genuine love of learning.
It was fantastic seeing him working with his S&C coach, Ricky at Strive. The communication, trust and shared purpose between them is everything a performance pathway should be built on.
Teamwork really is the engine behind every great performance programme, and Ryan is a brilliant example of how athletes thrive when surrounded by coaches who believe in them and challenge them in all the right ways.
Proud of the work he’s putting in and excited to see what he achieves next.

The Academy Coaches are working closely with the committee to shape a clear plan for training for the rest of the year. It’s been a busy start to the season, and it’s been brilliant to see so many of you out and about competing. As we move forward, we’re keen to bring more structure back into the programme so everyone can continue progressing with confidence.

Academy training runs throughout the year, with a mix of local and visiting coaches offering sessions in a fun, supportive environment for all ages and abilities. We always welcome ideas or suggestions from members, if there’s something you’d love to see included, please let us know.

We’re also pleased to share that the Bronze and Glitter Performance Award dates have been extended, with more information coming soon.

And finally, a warm welcome to Kate Warner, who joins the Academy Team. We’re delighted to have her on board.
