The Netherlands Grand Prix, the sixteenth round of the FIM Motocross World Championship, took place at the Arnhem circuit, which is characterised by a sandy surface. Over thirty thousand fans watched the races from the stands surrounding the Dutch track. Jago Geerts (Beta RX450) took to the track for the MRT Racing Team Beta Factory; the Belgian rider was determined to build on the progress he had shown throughout the season. Twenty-third at the end of free practice, he made up a few positions in the timed practice session to finish twentieth. The Belgian had no luck in qualifying and, after a good start, was forced to fight his way back up the field following a crash. He finished the race in nineteenth place. In the first race, after starting around fifteenth position, Jago managed to fight his way back up to finish in eleventh place. In the second race, he was hampered by the after-effects of the blow to his leg sustained at Uddevalla and slowed his pace slightly, though he still finished fourteenth. In the second heat, he was able to improve his position, finishing in twelfth place. These results saw him finish in the top ten, tenth overall for the day. Geerts maintained his sixteenth position in the championship standings.

The race at Arnhem was the final GP of the season on European soil: in two weeks’ time, the MRT Racing Team Beta Factory will be competing in the Turkish Grand Prix, the seventeenth round of the 2026 FIM Motocross World Championship, which will be hosted at the Afyon circuit.

Jago Geerts: “After a difficult Saturday, I managed to complete two good heats today. I felt better and better as the weekend went on. After last weekend’s crash, I wasn’t in top form and needed a bit more time to get into my stride. In the end, I finished tenth overall, a result I’m satisfied with. Next week I’ll focus on getting back to peak condition, so I’m ready for the last three races of the season.”

The Glimminge Motorstadion in Uddevalla hosted the Swedish Grand Prix, the fifteenth round of the 2026 FIM Motocross World Championship.
The Scandinavian track made its debut on the world motocross scene back in 1958, with home rider Sten Lundin taking victory, and since the early 2000s it has been a permanent fixture on the World Championship calendar.In the MXGP class, Jago Geerts (Beta RX450) struggled to find his rhythm on the track during the opening sessions. Twenty-first in free practice, the Belgian rider posted the seventeenth-fastest time in qualifying. Jago then finished thirteenth in the qualifying race after starting from fifteenth, showing steady improvement on the challenging Swedish circuit. Luck was not on the Belgian’s side in Race 2: running fifteenth for much of the race, he was involved in a heavy crash towards the end following contact with another rider, forcing him to retire from the race. Eighteenth overall on the day, Geerts retained sixteenth position in the championship standings. Tomorrow, the Belgian rider will undergo further medical examinations to assess his condition ahead of the upcoming rounds of the World Championship.

Brando Rispoli was also hit by misfortune. Following a crash during practice, he was unable to line up for the start of the tenth round of the EMX250 European Championship. The Italian rider sustained a fracture to his big toe, which will most likely prevent him from taking part in the final two rounds of the continental series, scheduled to take place in the Netherlands and Turkey over the coming weeks. 2026MXGP #12 Lommel

The Lommel circuit hosted the fourteenth round of the 2026 FIM Motocross World Championship, the Flanders Grand Prix. The Belgian track, with its deep sand, is considered one of the most difficult and demanding of the entire season.
Following his strong performances in previous races, Jago Geerts (Beta RX450) was a rider to watch at his home race. Eighth at the end of free practice, the Belgian was once again very quick in timed practice, setting the tenth-fastest time. In qualifying, he got off to a good start just outside the top ten and managed to fight his way back up to tenth position. He also got off to a good start in the first heat, but a crash in the opening laps whilst in ninth position saw him slip back to a lower position. Jago didn’t give up and fought his way back up again, finishing the race in twelfth position. A crash at the start complicated Geerts’ start to the second heat, but once back in the saddle he fought his way back up to eleventh position. Finishing twelfth, level on points with the eleventh-placed rider, in the day’s overall standings, the Belgian retained his sixteenth position in the championship.

Following his excellent third place last weekend in the EMX2T European Championship, Brando Rispoli (Beta RX250 2-stroke) took to the track at Lommel for the ninth round of the EMX250 European Championship. Nineteenth in free practice, the Tuscan rider was unable to find a fast lap in qualifying, where he set the twenty-fifth fastest time. In the first race, luck was not on Brando’s side at the start. Forced to fight his way back up the field, he recovered to eighteenth position at the finish line, securing his first points of the day.
