C'è un sentiero in Alta Valtellina che non ti porta solo in quota. Ti porta indietro nel tempo.
Si chiama Sentiero Glaciologico Dosdè Est, è in Valdidentro, e lungo i suoi 12,2 km racconta una storia che le rocce hanno scritto da soli: targhe, ometti di pietra e segnali di misura segnano i punti dove il ghiacciaio si trovava nel 1932, negli anni '80, fino ad oggi.
Camminare qui significa leggere i millenni sotto i piedi.
Il percorso parte dal parcheggio Altumeira, sale all'Alpe Dosdè e al Rifugio Federico Valgoi, poi segue il torrente fino ai pianori d'alta quota dove il ghiacciaio ha lasciato le sue tracce più nitide. Alla quota massima di 2.546 m, se le condizioni lo permettono, il ghiacciaio di Dosdè Est è lì, davanti a te.

There's a trail in Alta Valtellina that doesn't just take you to altitude. It takes you back in time.
It's called the Dosdè Est Glaciological Trail, located in Valdidentro, and across its 12.2 km it tells a story written by the rocks themselves: plaques, stone cairns and measurement markers indicate where the glacier stood in 1932, in the 1980s, and up to today. Walking here means reading millennia beneath your feet.
The route starts from the Altumeira car park, climbs to Alpe Dosdè and Rifugio Federico Valgoi, then follows the stream up to the high-altitude plateaus where the glacier has left its clearest traces. At the highest point of 2,546 m, if conditions allow, the Dosdè Est glacier is right there in front of you.
