A solid weekend overall, despite Sunday’s rain turning the final day into a real challenge.
In Junior we showed strong pace in every condition. Julian Rivera was fighting for a podium finish in the Final, even in the wet, after securing P3 in the dry Pre-Final. Mark Loomets also demonstrated impressive speed with P4 in the Pre-Final before his race came to an early end on the opening lap of the Final following an on-track incident.
In OKN, after ranking among the fastest of the 81 drivers throughout the Heats (P9 in the intermediate classification), Alex Mrozik endured a frustrating Sunday, with contact and some technical problems in both the Pre-Final and the Final ending his chances of converting that pace into a result.
It was a tough weekend for Mateo Garcia, who returned to the MINI category with the team after a month away from European competition. He faced several challenges, the biggest being an incorrect setup choice for the Final as the rain stopped.
It was also a difficult weekend also for Alex Puligheddu (Junior) and Vincent Zarajczyk, with results below expectations. But we keep pushing, keep learning, and we’ll come back stronger.
