⛰️✨ What a wonderful day in the Wicklow Mountains!

Our usual Sunday morning Summit Steps guided run took us up Brockagh this week, followed by a trail taster around beautiful Glenmalure with some of the women from Dublin Front Runners . 🏃‍♀️💚

So much fun exploring the trails, watching the views open up as we climbed and enjoying the downhills.

We discovered hidden waterfalls 💦, glimpses of mountain lakes 🏞️ and some of the most stunning scenery Wicklow has to offer.

Thanks to everyone who joined us for a fantastic day on the trails! 🙌⛰️

Once the sweat was wiped…WOW the views! 🌞⛰️

Yesterday we had a challenging and stunning adventure on the mountains to finish off our current Midweek Mountain Trails series.

No guided trails next week — see you all again on the 10th of June for more. 🤍✨

An absolutely stunning, steep and sunshine-filled 🌞 morning on the trails!

What goes up = incredible views, laughter and the most gorgeous descent. 🤩

From flowering boreens 🌼 to rocky summits under blue skies, nothing like a summer's morning on the mountains.

So grateful for this group of women 💫 and the conversations, encouragement and shared adventure along the way.

Thanks everyone for making it such a memorable morning in the hills.💚⛰️

Midweek mountain trails magic. ✨💫

Cloud rolling across the hills, lakes below, the sea across in the distance. 😍

Emperor moth on summit heather, tiny tormentil flowers 🏵 on the steep south climb.

Steep descent too and traces of old Cloghoge Village nestled into in the landscape. Shared with a community of women who make the mountains feel like home.

The conversations, the quiet moments, the encouragement at every pace.

These mornings are something special. 💚⛰️

Reflecting on what was such a positive and meaningful day delivering .criu The Inclusive Lead: Empowering Every Pace on the Trails with Madina Schulz .

A morning of movement, conversation, reflection and real discussions around leadership, belonging and creating more supportive outdoor spaces for everyone. 🌿

From proactive pacing and psychological safety on the hills to brave spaces, communication and group dynamics. 🌟 The energy and openness from the group made for a brilliant day.

Takeaways:

⛰️ Inclusive leadership is not about slowing people down, it is about helping more people feel capable, confident and connected outdoors.

👣 The trail journey is more important than a short moment at the summit. The conversations, encouragement, shared challenges and sense of belonging created along the way are what truly shape people’s experience and sense of belonging in the outdoors.

😁 When people are travelling home after a day on the trails, we want them to be smiling, satisfied, proud and looking forward to returning to the outdoors.

Women in ultra trail running continue to inspire, both here in Ireland and far beyond.

Massive admiration for legends like Kathryn Fitzpatrick taking on huge mountain challenges like the Wicklow Round. 💥⛰️

Our guided trail runs and Intro to Trail Navigation this weekend reminded us that adventure doesn’t always have to mean huge miles — sometimes it’s the simple joy of sunshine, mountain air, good company and learning new skills on the trails.☀️🗺️

Clouds rolling, legs moving, hearts full! ☁️⛰️💚

Today’s She Summits adventure on Djouce Mountain Trails had a little bit of everything.

We spotted a red kite soaring up close, a herd of deer 🦌 racing through the most beautiful glen and endless views across the sea and the surrounding Wicklow & Dublin Mountains

Fresh air, trail chats and that post-trail clarity after a nature reset. ✨

Massive well done too to all the She Summiters out recceing sections for the Wicklow Way Relay today. 😎

Learning to navigate opens us up to more independence and opportunity for new adventures in the mountains. 🗺️ ⛰️ 💫

In today’s Find Your Way Series - Intro to Trail Navigation course we covered getting comfortable reading a map, pacing distance, timing, matching the land to the map plus a taste of compass work. 😎
