Planning to go for a hike this bank holiday weekend?
Avoid routes that require river crossings.
A lot of rain has fallen in the mountains and more is due to fall. Rivers are absolutely tanking and will rise as the rain continues to drain off the land into them.
Remember forecast for Glendalough gives wind speed, gusts and rainfall for the valley, not for the mountains. Expect the winds to be higher as you go up! They do have a mountain forecast, but it's not great tbh... I prefer for that.
The clocks go back too, so if it's not already in your pack -> it's definitely HEADTORCH season.
