Stellar Irish performances at the World Masters Mountain Running Championships…proving the Irish are like fine wine and get better with age 👌

Episode 135 of the Trail Running Ireland Podcast now out! 🏔🇮🇪

In this weeks show René Borg from Running Coach Ireland takes over the presenter role as he asks our usual presenter Eoin Flynn the questions as we reflect on the World Masters Mountain Running Championships.

Ireland picked up 6 individual medals and 19 teams medals including 3 Irish teams being declared World Champions including Eoins´ 045 team and Ireland also had an individual World Champion in Majella Diskin in the W70 category. What a few days it was! 🥇🥇🥇🥇

Eoin also gives a quick overview of the UTMB European Major, Val d'Aran by UTMB where he was working for the week, a race that included two big controversial moments involving the race leaders alongside some spectacular racing.

Irish athletes are on 🔥 at the World Masters Mountain Running Championships!

WORLD CHAMPION MAJELLA DISKIN!

Absolutely monumental news from the World Masters Mountain Running Championships in Czechia!
After securing a brilliant Team Gold in the opening uphill race, our phenomenal master’s athlete Majella Diskin took to the mountains again and conquered the Classic Up & Downhill race to be crowned INDIVIDUAL WORLD CHAMPION!
The incredible Irish dominance didn't stop there:
🥉 Pauline Moran took Individual Bronze!🥇 Majella, Pauline, and Carmel Mac Domhnaill combined perfectly to secure yet another TEAM GOLD for Ireland!

Words cannot describe how proud everyone here at An Ríocht Athletic Club is of Majella. To bring individual and team world titles back home to Castleisland is a truly legendary achievement
