A huge thank you to John and the team at Laois People Live for supporting local athlete Pam Grogan on her journey to represent Ireland at the FIBA Masters Open in Greece this July.

Basketball Ireland Masters has launched a 'Community Sponsorship Initiative' to recognise and promote the businesses and communities that continue to support athletes across the country.

𝗙𝗼𝗿 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 €𝟭𝟬𝟬 𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗼𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝘁𝗼𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀 𝗮 𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗹𝗲𝘁𝗲:
✔ Your business will be entered into a free community sponsorship draw
✔ One winning business will feature across the home & away kits of EIGHT Irish international Masters teams
✔ Opportunity for promotional content and photos with the athlete you support
✔ Recognition across Basketball Ireland Masters social media platforms

This initiative is about giving something back to the communities behind our players the local businesses, supporters, families and organisations helping athletes continue to chase their dreams on the international stage.

The FIBA Masters Open takes place in Hellas, Greece from July 4th - 12th, 2026, where Irish men’s and women’s squads across multiple age categories (40yrs - 60yrs) will proudly represent their country
