A fantastic catch by Benigna during one of the youth training sessions ran by Mallow Trout Anglers 🎣

Benigna was nymphing a fast run when the fish took and after a long battle, with the fish making several strong runs, she managed to get it under control and into the net.

Well done to Mallow club member John Scanlon and boat partner Mick Mellamphy on their 5th place finish at last weekends Garrison & Lough Melvin Anglers Association Melvin open.

After a tough qualifying day Saturday with one fish Sunday's final was a different story. They had 5 fish in the boat before lunch time and were unlucky not to add to their bag losing a good fish in the afternoon and meeting a few more.
