Strength training has been shown to have a whole host of benefits for both athletic and general populations

Increases in strength have been shown to improve sprint speed, jump height and change of direction ability, while also reducing the risk of injury

Benefits of strength training in general population include reduction in insulin sensitivity, reduced risk of diseases such as sarcopenia and osteoporosis, reduced risk of trips and fall in older adults
