Loughrea are a rapidly growing soccer club ran by volunteers from the community. we have teams of all ages girls and boys. Our senior men's team is currently playing in Division 1 after 5 years playing in the Premier division .

⚽️ Billy Carr U10 Memorial Tournament 2026 ⚽️

An incredible weekend for the Loughrea Rams U10 Blue Team at the Billy Carr Memorial Tournament. The lads topped their group unbeaten with 3 wins and 1 draw before progressing through a dramatic quarter-final penalty shootout.

They were the only Galway team to reach the Cup semi-finals, where they narrowly lost 3-2 to St Joeys of Sallynoggin in a brilliant battle.

Huge credit to the players and coaches for their effort, attitude and determination throughout the tournament. The future is very bright for soccer in Loughrea 💙⚽️

Loughrea Rams FC is more than just a football club – it’s a community, a place where young players grow, friendships are built, and lifelong memories are made.

We want to say a huge thank you to our dedicated committee members and volunteers who work tirelessly behind the scenes to keep the club running and to help soccer in Loughrea continue to grow 👏

But we can’t do it alone.
