Walking Buddies is a group of male & female walkers who meet every Thursday evening at 7.30pm outsid Hi and Welcome to Walking Buddies Walking Group!

If you enjoy walking but want to get more from your walk, why not join “Walking Buddies”. Walking Buddies is a group of male & female walkers who meet every Thursday evening at 7.30pm outside Collins Bar Dooradoyle. They walk for approx. 5k every week and return to Collins Bar for complimentary Tea/Coffee. The group was set up three years ago by local lady’s Eimear Bulfin, Rachel Lucy, Susan Ahear

n and Mary Flynn as they wanted to meet new people while getting active. With support from local businesses Collins Bar, Limerick Sports Partnership and Limericks 95fm the group has become a great success. Eimear and Mary completed the Slí na Sláinte Walking Leader Training Course, with the Irish Heart Foundation last year and now offer the group physical activity guidelines and how they relate to walking, a walking program for different fitness levels, Advice on issues such as posture, technique, stretching, intensity, clothing, and safety issues. The group welcomes both male and females from all over Limerick at all fitness levels and it’s free of charge.

Our next Regatta Great Outdoors x Walking Buddies Limerick Community Walk is taking place on Sunday, 21 June at 12 noon.

Join us for a relaxed, social, guided community walk starting from the Regatta store at the Crescent Shopping Centre, Dooradoyle.

This walk is open to everyone who is comfortable walking approximately 6–7km at a group pace. Whether you’re a regular walker or simply looking to get outdoors, meet new people and enjoy a friendly local route, you are very welcome to come along.

📅 Date: Sunday 21 June
⏰ Time: 12 noon – 2pm
📍 Meeting point: Outside Regatta, Crescent Shopping Centre
🚶‍♀️ Distance: Approx. 6–7km
☕ Includes: Complimentary tea/coffee at Collins Bar, Dooradoyle
🎁 Bonus: Regatta store voucher for registered participants on arrival

🚶‍♀️ Reminder: Regatta x Walking Buddies Limerick Walk 🚶‍♂️

Hi everyone, we still have a few places left for our next community walk on Sunday, 21 June at 12 noon, starting from outside Regatta at the Crescent Shopping Centre.

It’s a relaxed, social 6–7km guided walk around Raheen and Dooradoyle, with a stop at Collins Bar for complimentary tea/coffee ☕

There’s also a Regatta store voucher for registered participants on arrival 🎁

Our next Limerick Community Walk is now open for bookings on Eventbrite!
Join us on Sunday, 21 June at 12 noon for a relaxed, social, guided community walk starting from the Regatta Irelandt at the Crescent Shopping Centre.

Just a little reminder about our

Walking Buddies Limerick outdoor fitness session with Donnacha from Full Body Fitness in Mungret Park on Saturday 9th May (10:00–11:00) 💪🌿

Donnacha very kindly gave his time to lead the warm-up and demo at our recent Regatta Community Walk, so it would be really lovely if we could support him back by coming along if you’re free 😊

This will be a fun, relaxed full-body session suitable for all fitness levels — no experience needed.

This class is open to the public once you register on the link provided

📍 Mungret Park (picnic area at the top entrance beside the college)
💶 Cost: €7 (+ €1.48 Eventbrite booking fee)
