A warm welcome Shelbourne welcome to our first timers this week; Shay, Cassie, Beth and Cara. We trust you’ve caught the junior parkrun bug and will be back Sunday for more!
On the run front, newcomer Peter celebrated back to back first finishes in a blistering 7:29! His twin brothers, Henry and Felix, also achieved personal best times on their second outing. There were 8 other PBs on the day including Billy, who celebrated his Half Marathon with a 25 second PB and a podium finish. Kudos also to Grace, Tom, Stephen, Eliana, Maisy, Seraph, Amee, Rosie and lastly Sam who PB’d while his Nan Catherine Keating volunteered! Maith sibh ar fad 👏🏼
Special mention this week to Clodagh who finishes every week with a broad white smile before heading back through the crowd to pick up her younger brother, Séamus. We see this week in week out from Clodagh and, for that reason, we decided to award her with a volunteer credit to acknowledge her kindness. This is the epitome of junior parkrun ♥️
On the volunteer front, one of our core team, Ollie Naughton, notched up his 300th volunteer credit last weekend. Ollie is ever present at both Shelbourne junior parkrun and Clarisford parkrun - Killaloe and we would be lost without his expertise and the calm he brings. Heartfelt thanks you from us all Ollie, keep her lit 🙌🏼
Beir bua,
Ian.
